dental implants

Dental implants have been in general use for over 30 years and have revolutionised the way we think about replacing missing teeth or loose dentures. They can be used to replace single or several teeth, through to replacing whole dentitions and can be an excellent way to avoid the need to wear dentures, even if all natural teeth have been lost.
In recent times there have been major changes in the design of dental implants, which has led to much faster integration times (bonding to the bone) and in some cases, same day teeth! A surgical procedure is required for the placement of the implants. This is generally carried out under local anaesthetic, and is pain-free at the time of the surgery and usually with very minor discomfort later. (See testimonials) After a suitable healing period, the implants can then be restored with crowns, bridges or removable restorations.

John, Nigel and Martyn are all experienced and have trained extensively in this area of dentistry, and can carry out the full clinical assessment needed to see whether you are suitable for implant placement. Nowadays there are various techniques available to make the most difficult cases possible to restore.
